We offer a free in-home estimate, and it just starts with giving us a call. Our expert designer will visit you for your free consultation. First we’ll measure your windows. We’ll show you samples of our window covering products and allow you to be hands-on. After discussing the options we will leave you a price.

Once deposit is made your shades will start production. Depending on the type of shade and fabric we’ll give you an estimated lead time. Shades are usually available within 2-3 weeks, however some specialty shapes and fabrics may take 4-6 weeks.

This beautiful home in Mission Viejo received an update to the windows with custom plantation shutters by Cali Coast Shutters and Shades. These customers contacted us through our website to request a free estimate in Mission Viejo for shutters.

Our designer visited them for an in-home estimate appointment. The designer discussed options, showed samples and allowed the customer to be hands-on with our custom shutters, and left a price. Once deposit was made the production of these Mission Viejo Custom Shutters started.

We followed up with the customer to schedule installation, and then installed these gorgeous shutters in just a few hours. Our professional installers always clean as they go, insuring your home is just as clean as before installation.

Custom Plantation Shutters

Plantation Style Shutters are like custom cabinetry for your windows. Through exact measurements your shutters are custom built for your windows, and installed by our professional installation team.

In the above photos are Hidden Tilt Shutters, also known as modern tilt. The mechanism to control the louvers of the shutter are hidden from view through a small bar on the backside, giving your shutters a streamlined look and keeping a stick from blocking your view.

Options for Shutters

There are a lot of options to further customize your shutters. Starting with hidden tilt (a more modern option that we recommend) vs traditional tilt (with the tilt bar in the middle). Then there are different frame sizes and style, which your designer can help you choose based on the style of your home. While white shutters are the most popular option, there’s even choices there with over 12 shades of white. We also offer different paint options or even wood stains for your custom window shutters.

We worked with an interior designer to supply luxurious window sheers for this customer in Corona Del Mar. This interior designer wanted an upscale look that offered privacy and light filtering. We showed the designer a sample of our window sheers along with all the fabric options to create this custom solution.

Sheer Shades, also known as Window Shadings or Sheers, are a great option to allow soft light into a home. The vanes have a unique S-shape which allows for more light to be captured.

Have a view that you want to fully appreciate sometimes and have privacy some other times? When raised up Sheer Shades completely disappear into the head rail, offering the full view. But when down offer privacy.

They’re also a great option for during the day, as when the shades are down with the vanes open it allows you to see out without people being able to see in. And at night you can easily close the vanes for more privacy.

This Aliso Viejo home was getting a full set of new windows, so of course they needed to upgrade their window coverings! Our designer went to the home for a free in-home consultation. They measured the windows, showed samples and fabric options, and put the order in for the customer.

These Aliso Viejo cellular shades are by Alta Window Fashions and are in the color Coastal Eddy. While this color is now discontinued, we have over 200 fabric options to find you a fabric that works for your style and budget.

The photos above show the difference between inside mount shades and outside mount shades. Inside mount shades are recommended in daytime rooms, such as living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, etc.

Outside mount shades are recommended in bedrooms. They help to block more light by going just slightly past the frame of the window. Sometimes our customers also include outside mount shades in their home office as it can help to reduce glare on computer screens.

The above outside mount cellular shades in the bedroom are also blackout shades. Blackout fabric further reduces light using either thicker materials with less opacity or a lining on the back. Your designer can go over options with you at your free in-home consultation.

Hidden Tilt Shutters in Hacienda Heights Home

A stunning addition to this Hacienda Heights home, these plantation style hidden tilt shutters are a great fit. Custom shutters are easy to keep clean, a breeze to use, and last for many years to come. They’ll continue to add to the value of the home while being fully functional.

The shutters shown are hidden tilt. This means the louvers are controlled by a small flat metal rod hidden behind the shutter. You can open and close the louvers of these custom shutters by lightly moving any of the louvers. As you can see in some of the photos there is a split tilt, which we include at no additional charge, so you can open the top louvers to allow in light while keeping the bottom louvers closed for privacy.

The main difference of these hidden tilt shutters vs traditional or center tilt is there is no large bar in the middle. That way none of your view is blocked by the center tilt bar.

Hidden tilt technology is highly developed, and it’s extremely durable and should last the life of your shutters. It’s also easily fixed, so if you have any issues years down the line there’s a simple remedy to make it good as new.

Your designer will take time to help you find your custom window covering solution. We have a variety of shade options, such as Faux Wood Blinds, Roller Shades, Zebra Blinds, Honeycomb Shades, and more. You’ll get to see and touch samples of the shades you’re interested in, and we have over 300 fabric options that you can choose from. We take our time answering all your questions. Our customers appreciate our wealth of custom window covering knowledge, and we’re happy to share that with you!

Step 3: Pricing

Once you’ve decided on your custom window coverings and your fabrics, we’ll put together our best price for you. Our pricing includes tax and installation, so there’s no hidden costs.

Step 4: Deposit

If you’d like to move forward your designer will give you the contract to review. Just return the signed contract with the deposit and we will put your custom window coverings into production.

Once your custom window coverings are close to completion we’ll reach out to schedule your installation. Our installers are the best, and they take care to ensure your home is left spotless after install. We ask that you move any furniture at least 3 ft from the windows on installation day, and we take care of the rest!
