The above shutters are our upgraded Hidden Tilt Basswood Shutters. Gently grasp the louver to move your shutters from closed to open. They provide privacy and light blocking, but can be opened up to enjoy your outdoor views.

It all starts with a free in-home estimate. Our designer will visit your home bringing samples with him. You’ll be able to be hands on with a large sample of our custom plantation shutters to see the quality workmanship.

This customer has beautiful large windows on the front of their condo. It’s a challenge to find a solution that allows for privacy and light blocking, but at the same time doesn’t permanently block the view.

Shutters are a great solution for this! As you can see in the above photo, the customer chose a split tilt on the shutters that allow them to open only a portion of the shutter if they choose to allow in light but keep privacy. Or they can open all the sections to still have a view and lots of natural light coming through their shutters.

Vinyl vs. Wood Shutters

Our specialty is shutters, and specifically our custom Basswood Shutters. Real wood is durable to last a lifetime but light enough to not strain the hardware on shutters.

However, in this case we recommended our vinyl shutters. Why? Because this shutter is located in a bathroom. Areas of high moisture, such as a bathroom with a shower, do better with a vinyl shutter. The wood can be sensitive to constant high levels of moisture from a warm daily shower. But the vinyl is the perfect option.

We have the same paint and finish options on our vinyl shutters, so looking at a vinyl shutter next to a wood shutter you could barely tell any difference.

This beautiful home in Mission Viejo received an update to the windows with custom plantation shutters by Cali Coast Shutters and Shades. These customers contacted us through our website to request a free estimate in Mission Viejo for shutters.

Our designer visited them for an in-home estimate appointment. The designer discussed options, showed samples and allowed the customer to be hands-on with our custom shutters, and left a price. Once deposit was made the production of these Mission Viejo Custom Shutters started.

We followed up with the customer to schedule installation, and then installed these gorgeous shutters in just a few hours. Our professional installers always clean as they go, insuring your home is just as clean as before installation.

Plantation Style Shutters are like custom cabinetry for your windows. Through exact measurements your shutters are custom built for your windows, and installed by our professional installation team.

In the above photos are Hidden Tilt Shutters, also known as modern tilt. The mechanism to control the louvers of the shutter are hidden from view through a small bar on the backside, giving your shutters a streamlined look and keeping a stick from blocking your view.
